November 6, 2007—
Two long term care professionals
have newly joined the Institute for Caregiver Education team. Hired
as Associate Consultants and Educators, Susan Crane and Rhea Schneiders will
help to provide
Institute clients in Florida with person-centered care education and training. A

Human Resources professionals fresh approaches based in person-centered practices. The
guide helps professionals to mesh their HR efforts with transformational

Symposiums funded by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. The
state's Quality of Long-Term Care Facility Improvement Trust Fund supports

California QIO Lumetra contracts with the Institute for statewide person-centered
care trainings. Seminars were held in Fairfield, Fresno, Pasadena and

NEW OXFORD, PA - March 2, 2006—
Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community announced
that it is partnering with the Institute for Caregiver Education to bring
a social model of care to the nearly 1,000 residents on its campus. Officials
said that the move was consistent with the philosophy of care in Christian
love which has been demonstrated there since 1908. Read

the White House Conference on Aging (WHCoA). The conference
took place December 11-14th, 2005. The theme of the WHCoA was the “Booming

CLEARWATER, FL - October 7, 2005—
Clearwater Center awarded a grant from the Agency for Health Care Administration to
focus on resident-centered care through Culturally Transformed neighborhoods
and communities. The grant proposal was submitted on behalf of Clearwater
Center by IfCE's Betty Frandsen and Teresa McCann who will help guide the nursing

NEW ENGLAND - October 3, 2005—
The Institute for Caregiver Education hosted two Culture Change Intensive Series
conferences on September 27th and 29th in New England. The New
England Culture Change Intensive Series was focused on providing an advanced
level of training for providers who already have a basic understanding
of Culture Change and the movement in the industry to transition from a
medical model of care to a social model of care. Read

HUNT VALLEY, MD - October 3, 2005—
The Institute for Caregiver Education was among five preferred best practices
in Culture Change education providers to present at the QualityNet 2005
Conference in September. QualityNet 2005 was hosted in partnership
with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and included
over 70 independent nursing home and home health organizations and their
government Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs). The theme for this
